When I first got there, one lady introduced herself and then went and introduced me to the head coordinator. Then they sat me down for an interview and asked me quite a few questions. O think I answered them pretty well.
Then once that was done, I had to fill in a bit of paperwork. Then it was time for the kids to arrive.
I got taken outside where they have afternoon tea and was introduced to a few of the kids. A couple of others came up to me and asked if I was new or if I worked there. Which was super cute. Then I was told to follow one of the workers (who I found out later is the same age as me), who took the Grade 5's and 6's off to play a sport outside. I was with her for about 20 minutes maybe before I was sent to a play ground area for about the same time. Then the head lady came and got me and brought me to the inside area where there was lego and other connectables. and one kid had brought along his new Pokemon card game. and some of the girls were playing in a mini 'shop' . Then before I knew it, it was time to leave.
I feel that it all went quite well, but right the end the head lady told me that they were a bit iffy with my availability (because of uni, I'd only be able to work two afternoons and/or three mornings). Apparently they would prefer someone who could work more, but that doesn't mean I'm totally ruled out. I would like to think I've still got a fair chance, but I don't want to get my hopes up too much. But I'll find out sometime next week.
